Educate
We educate through customised learning. We individualise education plans for our children to meet their goals.

Enrich
We complement education with self-confidence. We encourage our children to thrive at their own pace and to overcome challenges in their own time.

Empower
We empower our children to discover their passions and achieve their goals. We support them to be the best that they can be.
Who We Are
Emuna House is an inclusive, child-centred learning organisation. We provide programmes designed for both typical and atypical children from as young as 15 months to 14 years of age, particularly for children who are on the Autism Spectrum. These programmes focus on building and strengthening base skills to allow progress to mainstream schooling and to better participate in society. All our programmes have Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy principles and techniques at their core. This approach enables us to discover and improve each child’s base skills, and repeat. Progress is made with gradual, but consistent, adaptation, fine-tuning, and goal-setting. We follow the progress of each child meticulously and encourage open communication between our team and our children’s families. We work together to provide a well-balanced and strong support system for the child as he or she learn to navigate the world.

OUR PROGRAMMES
We provide Early Intervention and behavioural therapy for children who are on the Autism Spectrum. Our ABA programmes focus on building the child’s foundational skills, which include self-help, socialising, and academics.

One-on-One Therapy
In our One-on-One Therapy sessions, we provide early and intensive intervention through Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). We use verbal behaviour interventions that aim to teach functional language to the child, i.e. words that are of interest to the child and ones that he or she would use in everyday life. After building up their interest in language, we would then be able to develop communication skills that include receptive and expressive language across the verbal operant of mand (requesting), tact (labelling), echoics (vocal imitation), and intraverbal (conversational skills). We offer both home and centre sessions, at two (2) or three (3) hours per session. Sessions will be on a one-on-one basis, i.e. one therapist to a child.

School Shadowing
Our School Shadow programme aims to help the child integrate in a school setting by having a therapist “shadowing” him or her while in school. The therapist will follow through with the instructions given by the teacher(s) in the classes, thus ensuring the child’s participation and bridging interaction with peers by guiding the child along. While acting as a Shadow, the therapist helps the child adjust to group instructions in a larger group setting, gradually fading his or her presence and reducing assistance to the child.

Social Integration Class
In our Social Integration Classes, we work on improving the child’s play skills, introduce the concept of self-regulation, and help them to understand non-verbal communications. Additionally, social classes allow monitored and assisted socialising for our children. This is critical in developing socially acceptable behaviours and reducing or eliminating unacceptable ones. Our social classes are currently on Saturdays for a period of three (3) hours each.
Our Team
We have a team of dedicated and passionate child education professionals. Our therapists are well trained in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy methods in order to fully support our children’s development. While we have therapists working together with each child during their ABA programmes; managing their behaviours and creating a strong foundation of skills, our experienced teachers are ready to help them utilize those skills in an academic environment. Our teachers are trained and guided by our Head of Curriculum who has more than 14 years of experience in educating young minds. Both our therapists and teachers are constantly challenging themselves and finding creative and impactful ways to work closely with their children to achieve the goals set for them. Our goal is to ensure that the children understand the concepts that have been taught to them in order to better adapt what they have learned to other areas in their lives. Additionally, our therapists and teachers are certified in Child and Infant First Aid.
